Come learn how to cut and sew a t-shirt, t-shirt dress, sweatshirt, or sweatshirt dress from start to finish. This course provides a foundation in working with cut-and-sew knits, whether sewing with a lockstitch or overlock machine. Find out about the differences between sewing with knits vs woven fabrics, and which threads and stitches to use.

This high-energy course is a hands-on, sew-along approach to learning how to work with cut-and-sew knits. The first day contains the step-by-step tutorials for tracing and cutting a t-shirt, t-shirt dress, sweatshirt, or sweatshirt dress. The second day contains the step-by-step tutorials for sewing and finishing your garment. Apparel patterns and most materials are not included. A limited number of machines and hand-sewing kits are provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own. A limited supply of notions are available as well (thread, buttons, zippers).

At the end of the course, you will take home a t-shirt, t-shirt dress, sweatshirt, or sweatshirt dress. Everyone will leave with the knowledge of how to complete their project at home if they do not finish their project during during their time in class.
