An informal atmosphere of inspiration, camaraderie, and fun prevails as you learn to create mosaic art. (You get to break stuff!) The first two classes are structured to cover techniques of gluing, grouting, and tile nipping. Using the Pique Assette method, plates are used to produce colorful, imaginative designs on bases (frames, posts, mirrors, etc.) Other interesting “found objects” will be discussed and demonstrated. In the remaining four classes, students choose their own project and work at their own pace. All experience levels are welcome and supplies are provided. The instructor limits class size because she believes in lots of individual attention!
All materials provided. Any skill level welcome. Wear “work” clothes! For ages 18 and up.
This class is offered through the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Register at the Art Academy of Cincinnati online registration portal HERE. Call 513-562-6262, the Art Academy, if you encounter trouble when registering.
