The Barn is all about appreciation, creation and education in the Arts! As an Ohio Cultural Center, we welcome all residents of the Greater Cincinnati area – women, men, and children — and our facility is completely accessible. You don’t have to be a member to take classes or attend cultural events at the Barn.
The Barn is the place for Art Instruction, including Classes, Workshops, and Demonstrations. Art and Cultural events include the Annual Mariemont Paint Out, Lectures, Performances and Art-Making for families with young children, ARTFLIX, and Art Exhibitions that are free and open to the public.
The Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati was founded in 1892 by 19 women artists. Today the Club is more than 250 women strong and is the oldest Woman’s Art Club operating without interruption in the United States. In 2006 the Woman’s Art Club created the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation to raise funds and restore Mariemont’s Resthaven Barn, repurposing it as a Cultural Center.
The Barn | The Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center is an Ohio Cultural Arts Center in Mariemont, Ohio. The Woman’s Art Club does not own or run it — the Club has meetings there, the Club rents office and exhibition space there. Many Club members teach classes or hold workshops at The Barn — these are contracted by them directly with The Barn. The Club is committed to supporting the well-being of the Barn and sets aside some portion of its budget for programs or improvements according to the Club’s ability within the scope of its mission as a donation to the Foundation. Club members support the Barn through donations of time and money to Foundation fund-raising events and campaigns.
