We are pleased to announce that the WACC Foundation has recently received four grants for renovating the old hayloft upstairs. The Thomas J. Emery Memorial Foundation has awarded a grant of $50,000, and the Wohlgemuth Herschede Foundation has granted $15,000 (bringing the total amount donated by the Herschede Foundation to $45,000). In addition, two private individuals recently donated $20,000 and a stock gift worth $25,000 towards the Loft project. Thanks to their incredible generosity, we now have funds in hand to complete Phase I of the Loft by the end of the year: insulating the space, replacing the 30 year old roof shingles, installing skylights and an HVAC system. Soon Greater Cincinnatians will be able to enjoy a new, unique space for performances, classes, workshops and cultural events. Our next goal is to secure funding for an elevator to transport guests from the West Lobby to the Loft, making Arts ALoft accessible to all.
