 The Barn is your place for appreciation, creation and education about the Arts! We are an Ohio Cultural Center, open to all residents of the Greater Cincinnati area - boys & girls, young & old. People often ask "Do I have to be a Member to take classes or attend cultural events at the Barn?". No, you do not have to "be a member" or pay membership fees for all the wonderful art classes & programming we have to offer:

Announcing Second Gift from Dornette Foundation for Loft Renovation

The Foundation is thrilled to receive a second gift of $25,000 from the Helen G., Henry F., and Louise Tuechter Dornette Foundation toward renovating the Loft in October of 2016, bringing their total to $50,000. This significant amount will be dedicated to construction costs associated with Phase I of the Loft renovation project: insulation, new roof, skylights, and an HVAC system. The number of annual visits to the Barn has tripled in the last five years, and we are very lucky to have 3600 sq. feet on the second floor (the original Hayloft for "Resthaven Barn") available for expansion. The plan is to retain the historic look of the Loft by insulating between the walls and on the exterior of the roof, showcasing all that 90-year old original wood and rafters that soar to a 20' peak. In addition, skylights will be installed on the North side of the roof, to keep the historic look of the Barn from the street, while allowing that beautiful northern light to help illuminate the space.

Schedule your next meeting or presentation at the Barn. We have onsite parking for 35 cars; a catering kitchen; a pull-down screen and digital projector for presentations; lectern with corded mic, lavalier, and cordless mic; and tables and chairs for up to 100 people. Below are details of our rentable spaces (rental period 6 - 8 hours).

Nonprofit community groups can rent any of the above spaces at The Barn for $25 per 3-hour time period; furniture setup and teardown is responsibility of the renter.

Special Event Rentals

Looking for a venue for your next special event? Why not hold it in our beautiful white vintage-1920s Barn, loaded with charm and architectural detail? The Barn is a wonderful location for weddings, receptions, celebrations, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, reunions, and parties of all kinds.

You can rent rooms separately or rent the entire facility. Party rooms at the Barn include the Gallery, the Tack Room, the Lindner Classroom on the first floor; and the Loft on the second floor (please note: requires climbing stairs). You are free to choose your own caterer (we do not restrict you to a certain list).

~ To add a tent to the Courtyard, there is a fee of $50 and you are free to rent from the rental company of your choice (we do not provide any tents). To see an example price list from Academy Rentals, click here. Please note: pricing provided purely as an example; we do not have an exclusive agreement with any tent rental company; all arrangements are made by the renter. If you opt to rent a tent, you must file a tent permit with the Village of Mariemont (download here).

~ Contract and 50% deposit required to reserve your date, with no exceptions. You must contact the Barn for a tour prior to booking.

Exhibiting at The Barn

Why not book our Gallery for your art group's next exhibit?

Our Gallery features state-of-the-art adjustable lighting, beautiful oak floors, and charming architectural detail in this sensitively renovated former working dairy barn (originally called "Resthaven Barn"). Located in the Village of Mariemont, a National Historic Landmark, just a few blocks from the Square and only 15 minutes from downtown. The Gallery offers 1250 square feet with 125 linear feet of hanging space. Plenty of parking on site, in a serene and picturesque neighborhood.

In addition to the exhibitor's own publicity efforts, we feature your exhibit on our website, send a show announcement email to our 2000+ subscribers, and post the show info on cincinnati.com. To check for available dates, visit the Barn Facilities Calendar and look for dates that do not have a solid color line spanning multiple days and displaying the name of an exhibit.

* Exhibit Rental includes utilization of Gallery walls only. The Gallery floor remains open for public & private use. 20% commission assessed on all sales.

Gallery rental includes a 3-hour time block for your opening reception (weeknight evening or weekend afternoon only; Friday night openings are available for monthlong shows). Since The Barn is a cultural arts center serving the public, we reserve the right to schedule public and private events on the Gallery floor during exhibits. Weekend show sitting is responsibility of exhibitor, subject to availability. The Barn Gallery is open weekdays during office hours, generally 9am to 2pm Tuesday - Friday with no guarantees.
